Total Quality Management (TQM) and Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) are process improvement methodologies but do not belong to Six Sigma. DMAIC (Define Measure Analyze Improve Control) is used for projects aimed at improving an existing business process, while DMADV (Define Measure Analyze Design Verify) is used for projects aimed at creating new product or process designs.
