- prioritization matrices - Perform Quality Assurance - The 5th tool out of these 7 tools is listed as prioritization matrices, which aids the decision-making process by helping prioritize or rank various alternatives for implementation. Prioritization matrices are used in brainstorming in order to evaluate different issues based on set criteria to create a prioritized list of items. By doing so, it helps consider the opinions of everyone involved in project planning. With this particular tool, it helps the project managers determine which problems should be solved first to meet the objectives.
- Decision trees - A key part of expected monetary value (EMV) analysis, which is a tool & technique in the Perform Quantitative Risk Assessment process of Risk Management.

There are primarily two type of notations to draw a network diagram. They are

Activity on Arrow (AOA) or Activity Diagramming Method (ADM)
Activity on Node (AON) or Precedence Diagramming Method (PDM)

Sunk cost - "Sunk cost is a loss which should not play any part in determining the future of the project."

Direct costs and variable costs are costs that are directly attributable to the project. PM can analyze these costs to find ways to be more efficient and reduce them.

Costs incurred on room rental are considered fixed costs.
